One musician that has startling changed how Pop music is viewed would be none other than Hayley Kiyoko. Known primarily for her hit single and music video Girls Like Girls. Hayley has come out with another music video for her song Cliffs Edge.
What is exposed in Cliff's Edge is the steady relationship between two females that are struggling within their partnership. Funny enough the music video, does not overly dramatise what being in a relationship is like or full of blossoming butterflies. What Hayley corrects is the intensity that starts off and even impacts at certain points. Then leads to arguments that can eventually lead to a blow out that pushes one individual from another. Even towards the end of the music video it shows Hayley's other half rescuing her from the water, whether it was from a possible drowning or suicide.
Cliffs Edge keeps intact that colored tone associated with various Instagram filters...that is without being cheesy or too over the top. Hayley Kiyoko accurately depicts what a true relationship involves whether it be with a woman or a male. True individualism being mixed with a companion.
