The Show-Stopping Debut Album 48 by Mateo y Las Manos Pesadas

Mateo y Las Manos Pesadas is a folk/rock project and brain child of Matt Craddock. Though based in Colorado he has spent an extensive amount of time exploring Latin America and this influence is seen throughout their debut album 48 released earlier this year. This 9 track project is complete with songs in English, Spanish, some more somber numbers and one killer party anthem. Mateo gets somber and reflective with “Cowboy” but is playful and ready to celebrate with “Drink a Little Drink.” The guitar and instrumentation is absolutely gorgeous and the soothing vocals of Mateo really bring each track together. If they’re out of the gate with an album this strong, we certainly can’t wait to hear what they have up their sleeves next!
