I am happy that I can write something about some freshly made material by "Jamiroquai"! For those who don't know who are Jamiroquai, this band is well known for their very early success in their career with their first single in the early 90s, and since then they breakthrough on the top lists all over the World. Jamiroquai is a British band(funk, acid jazz) that had won a Grammy Award, as well as multiple MTV Video Music Awards, and it is formed by the frontman of the group, Jay(Jason) Kay on the vocals. Besides his talent and his different way of approach to singing, Jay Kay is well known for his unique dressing style (especially wearing unusual hats). He is also the composer of many of their tracks.

Jamiroquai finally releases a brand new album this year, and that is "Automaton", at the end of March this year. This album is the first one in seven years, and already peaked at number 1 in Italy and got number 4 in the UK chart lists so far. All of the songs are written and produced by Jay Kay and Matt Johnson. Two of total twelve tracks were released as singles, and personally, they are one of my favorites!

"Automaton" is definitely the track that deserves to be the lead single on the album. This tune has a great melody and lyrics that fits excellent with the beat and all the "digital" sounds. Jay Kay is singing about a new era that brings us a new way of living(living in a "Digital Life"). In the Spot Video for Automaton, Jay Kay is showing up a new, strange hat! Love that part! The other single is Cloud 9 which has the more classical "Jamiroquai" disco, funk vibe and energy! I love the Groove, the bass line, and the feeling of the 70s. The track is beautifully packed with a modern sound and a great production. There are a lot of different remixes of this song on Youtube, so you can check that if you want! "Something About you" is my third favorite song on this album. It's a smooth track, that I can leave it on repeat for the whole day and still not get enough of it!

Overall it's a great album if you like their vibe. Jamiroquai still sticks to their unique style and characteristic sound. Maybe I was expecting much different "Jamiroquai" this time after I 've listened to the first single, however, there is no room for any disappointments. I would love to see them next time with something more different than the classic "thing" that they surely know how to bring it every time.
