This is one of the most exciting and bold bands I have heard in the past year or so. “Ibrahim Electric” is their name, and they are not a new band, but I just discovered them. Coming from Denmark, this group brings a fantastic blend of all sorts of music genres, ranging from jazz and blues, through soul and funk, to hard rock and heavy music. It’s like The Doors jamming with James Brown, with Jon Lord on keyboards and Adrian Belew on guitar. Sounds strange? Well, give them a listen and judge for yourselves.
Ibrahim Electric were formed in 2004 in Copenhagen. They are widely famous in Denmark and slowly but steadily they are building their international reputation.
