Taylor Hicks, Musician and State Plate Foodie

Taylor Hicks rose to fame when he won season five of “American Idol”. Hicks is not only a great musician, who entertains the crowds with his soulful and energetic concerts, he is also someone who knows a lot about food. Hicks, is a partner at Saw’s Juke Joint restaurant, in Birmingham, Alabama. Hicks, is currently touring and while entertaining concert goers, he is out shooting segments for a new food and travel television show called “State Plate” that is set to premier on INSP on October 21st.

“State Plate” will see Hicks traveling all over the 50 states, to taste the distinctive foods that each state is known for. He will travel to ranches, festivals, farms, and markets. I am sure the show will have Hicks' humor in it along the way, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some harmonica playing is heard.
