Enter Sandman was released in 1991 as the first song for the eponymous album of Metallica entitled “Metallica”. The song deals with the concept of a child’s nightmares. It achieved a platinum certification and granted the band worldwide popularity. Here is the original rendition of the song:

But of course, Jimmy Fallon just had to get into the picture. Last November 16, 2016, Metallica along with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots played this internationally acclaimed song with classroom instruments. This segment has been with the show for quite some time. They’ve done it to Adele’s Hello, Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass, Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You, and even the Frozen soundtrack of Let It Go with Idina Menzel. But this is probably the first time we’ve heard them do something like this. Listen to it below:

It truly is a very creative way of showing us metal can be soft sometimes. Enter Sandman can be sang as an educational song in schools with this rendition. If you ever hated heavy metal or never even listened to it, this would be a great start for you to appreciate it. Tell me what you think about this hilarious and innovative way of playing songs.
