As you may get the gist, Metal and it's forms of music are all over the world. One such African metal band is called Crackdust. The band plays something along the lines of Melodic Death Metal or Melodeath a bit. If you have some knowledge of South African Metal then you may know of a band called Wrust? Well two past members of that band wanted to form a perhaps heavier band, this is that band. So you could so that this project has some Wrust sprinkled in with the Crackdust.

The most recent lineup of the band is:

- "Roth / BG" (vocals & guitars here, while he was guitars in Wrust and War-Tog)

- "Dlax" - drums

- "Lee" (bass)

- ("S'Bond" of Wrust was on bass from 2006-2008 and guitars from 2006-2011 and then Lee took that spot.)

The band has not been able to play live and is curently has members spread out so that makes the recording process difficult. Despite that the band does have some releases. They are:

- Deranged Psychopath (it was a single and impairing minds on 05/01/06)

"Deranged Psychopath" (single cover) "Deranged Psychopath" (single cover)

- Dented Reality (Their only full length, it was inhaled on 12/10/07).

"Dented Reality" (CD) "Dented Reality" (lyrics insert) "Dented Reality" (lyrics insert 2)

"Dented Reality" (lyrics insert 3) "Dented Reality" (insert art) "Dented Reality" (album back)

- Their latest release was another single, Return of the gods.

"Return of the gods" (single cover)

The band is still active and reportedly has a number of instrumental songs that need vocals. In an interview "Roth" stated his liking Cannibal Corpse, it is fairly evident in their choice of music. While, South Africa does not get much publicity in their metal scene; they do have bands that are dedicated to their craft and are gaining momentum. Do not sleep on Africa's metal scene it has a larger mix than once might imagine.
