If you have an ear to the world of "Deathcore" and "Technical Metal," then chances are good that you have heard of Rings of Saturn for some time now on the internet and through word of mouth. But, if for some reason you have not seen a "Sweep Picking" meme or two about the band or a Metalhead with apparel of the band, (Hot Topic seems to sell some of their merch as well), then let me let them run rings around you as you become another human to fall to their Alien Rampage.

Rings of Saturn can be considered "Deathcore/Metal/Prog./Slam/Tech" were formed around Dublin, California and have just recently signed to Nuclear Blast Records (a fitting label for them in my opinion) and so they will have more exposure from being on a larger label.

The band achieved somewhat of a cult following with their first work Embryonic Anomaly in 05/25/10. There was a deluxe bundle that was offerred as well.

Their next work, Dingir would propel the fame of the band even further in 10/28/12. While they were still underground; many Metalheads were creating a buzz for them. It seems that a bundle option was not given for this album?

The album, Lugal Ki En, would then slay ears in 10/14/14. Again, a collector's bundle was offered for this album as well.

The most recent work was a re-recording of the song "Seized and Devoured" from their first album. The single would be called Seized and Devoured 2.0

"Seized and Devoured 2.0" (single cover)

If you like Extreme Metal, Death Metal, Deathcore, or Technical Metal then this band is for you, human. While the music is fairly insane, the internet has called them "Aliencore" and has made memes such as the one below. Even if you do not like the music, one would have to admit that the musicianship, (especially guitarists) are very talented and indeed can be considered "brutal."
