While most may associate the idea of wearing a bag over one's head as a connotation or gesture of shame, well this Illinois band has a twist on that. This group of Metalheads are a mix of Groove/Hard Rock/Heavy Metal/Thrash. They rock out and play some metal with various bags over their heads. The band calls their fans "The Baghead Nation" and their fans have worn bags similar to the band with pride.
(Here is an example of how a fan showed their support for the group. This picture taken from the website "Skin Your Skunk" that does client-based custom guitar skins.)
The band like most of the bands with masks or hidden identities, uses monikers or stage names, the lineup is as follows (all of the band does vocals except the bassist):
"Belter Skelter" - vocals
"Ballz Deep" - lead guitar & vocals
"Buster Hymen" - drums & vocals
"Milez Long" - rhythm guitar & vocals
"Manny Wrecktor" / Adolph - bass
The band has one album called Fungonewrong, a self-titled.
The album has had three or so singles:
Cry Me A River
Steamroller (single cover or YouTube pic?)
Dropping Like Flies
While the band is not as well known as it's contemporaries, the band can boast that "Ballz Deep" is endorsed by Dean Guitars and the band has shared stages and played festivals such as "The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival" with: Godsmack, Psychostick, Escape The Fate, Seether, Skillet, Sekond Skyn, 3 Years Hollow, New Medicine, Sons of Revelry, These Raven Skies, Within Reason, Downtown Brown, Pop Evil, Buckcherry, Dwells Within, Dipshit Mcghee, Far Away, and 10 Inches Between Us, etc.
While this band does not appear to have been that active recently, there is talk that the band is gearing up for something that should be big. do not let anything about a gimmick fool you. This band can be fairly fast, heavy, and they rock. The guitar section of this band can shred out some great solos as well. I would recommend this band for Rockers and Metalheads alike. Also, this band has some tracks that could easily get picked up for radioplay if they were to be censored, etc. If you fit into this criteria or are looking for something different in the way of "masked bands," well here you go.
