The newly formed super group Good Tiger, featuring ex-Tesseract vocalist Elliot Coleman, ex-The Safety Fire guitarists Derya Nagle and Joaquin Ardiles, ex-The Faceless drummer Alex Rüdinger and bassist Morgan Sinclair, released their debut album on November 6th. Goodtiger is definitely the new kid the block in the progressive metal world. After a strong social media push and an indie-gogo campaign, they have gained a decent following in preparation of their debut album entitled A Head Full of Moonlight.

Making a strong entrance, the band opens up their career with “Enjoy The Rain”. You are greeted with instrumental poly-rhythmic patterns buried underneath lead singer Elliot Coleman’s soaring vocal melodies. They’re sound is mature and relentless making it easy to hear that this band has had serious experience being professional musicians.Showing no sign of letting up, another track that stood out was “67 Pontiac Firebird”. Beginning with a ferocious opening guitar riff, this track exhibits Coleman’s impressive screaming voice.

Overall, this is an extraordinary debut album. The guys establish themselves as true cosmopolitans of the progressive metal scene and reinforce that they are definitely a force to be reckoned with. If you are in Europe, be sure to catch them on tour with Veil of Maya and Periphery this winter beginning the November 13th in England.
