US rock band 30 Seconds To Mars, led by actor and musician Jared Leto, introduced "Walk On Water," their first single in four years since the release of their latest album "Love Lust Faith + Dreams" (2013).
"'Walk On Water' is a song for all of us. It's a song about freedom, about persistence, about change and about fighting for what you believe in. It's a call to arms but with optimism and hope that they are An integral part of the American dream, "said lead singer Jared Leto.
To accompany the premiere of this new song, 30 Seconds To Mars released a clip composed of numerous fragments of video recorded on July 4 in different parts of the United States, and which show the different ways to celebrate the Day of the Independence of that country.
The group said that more than 10,000 people sent their contributions, recorded in the 50 US states, Washington DC and Puerto Rico, and said that the video as a whole offers a "portrait of this country that is absolutely beautiful, challenging And unforgettable ".
30 Seconds To Mars said that he could only include in this video a small part of all the material received, but said that the rest will be used in a documentary directed by Jared Leto and will accompany the band's new album, still untitled.
Leto divides his time between music with 30 Seconds To Mars and his acting career, for which he won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Dallas Buyers Club" (2013).
