The singer, who a few weeks ago canceled his tour, says he has "let bitterness, jealousy and fear manage my life."
Canadian singer Justin Bieber on social networks posted a message to fans on Thursday about his "insecurities", which have sometimes led him to make "mistakes", as well as his world tour, which has just cancel.
"Learning and growing has not always been easy, but knowing that I'm not alone has allowed me to continue," wrote the 23-year-old singer, who has been headlined often in recent years because of his excesses.
"I have let my insecurities sometimes take the best of me ... I have let bitterness, jealousy and fear manage my life !!!" continues Bieber in this open letter published in Instagram and Facebook, in which he says he is "very aware" that he is not "perfect" and that he will continue to "make mistakes".
"But what I'm not going to do is let my past dictate my future," says the pop star, who July 24 suddenly announced the anticipated end of their "Purpose" tour, after 18 months touring the world.
He did so because of "unforeseen" circumstances, he said simply by announcing the cancellation.
Without going into details, the singer explains: "The fact that it takes time for me now is my way of saying that I want to continue. I want my career to be sustainable, but I also want my mind, heart and soul to be sustainable ".
"This message is an opportunity for you to know what is in my heart," he says, adding that he is aware that his text is "grammatically very incorrect," concludes: "I think there is something special about imperfections."
