The serenaders of Caracas

Valses, serenades, songs, ballads ... Caracas nights have always been filled with beautiful songs that tell love, sighs to the moon, poems to the beloved.

Among the emblematic serenaters is the immortal Alfredo Sadel, who with his voice became the spokesman for one of the most beautiful urban songs, such as "Serenata" by Manuel Enrique Perez Diaz.

Another song that expresses these feelings is the "Serenade" by Luis Laguna. And although both songs do not allude to the city of the red roofs, they leave that flavor of the city dear.

Other songs that have expressed those feelings so properly urban are "Fulgida luna", "If at night you see that they shine". This last one is a well-known song and sung in the Caracas of end of century XIX and principles of the XX, compiled by the teacher Vicente Emilio Sojo.

They are sounds from other times that evoke a romantic Caracas, worthy of being remembered within the framework of its 450 years.
