The British singer declared herself "devastated" and apologized to the thousands of fans who will miss the shows she planned to stage at London's Wembley Stadium on Saturday and Sunday.
Adele reported that she has canceled the last two concerts of her London world tour due to health problems with her vocal cords. In 2011 the singer underwent surgery to control bleeding in her vocal cords.
In a message broadcast on her social networks, the British artist declared herself "devastated" and apologized to the thousands of fans who will miss the two concerts she planned to offer at London's Wembley Stadium this Saturday and Sunday.
Adele, 29, was able to gather an audience of almost 100,000 people in each of her two performances in the British capital last Wednesday and Thursday, a record for a music event in such a venue in the UK.
"The last two nights at Wembley have been the best and biggest shows of my life," wrote the pop star and several Grammy Awards.
Adele acknowledged in her statement that "I forced my voice both nights" and that she was forced to demand "much more than normal", until her vocal cords were damaged.
"I'm being treated with a lot of steroids and other aids for my voice. I considered acting on Saturday, but I do not think I would have even been able to finish it and, truthfully, I would not want to collapse and leave you lying that way," he said.
Adele assured that the money of the entrance will be refunded if these two last concerts are canceled definitively and he / she leaves with an apology: "I am sorry, I am devastated.
The singer began this world tour in March last year in Belfast (Northern Ireland) and was her first concert on British soil in four and a half years.
Since then it has performed in 119 dates around the world.
Adele wanted to finish this tour in London because, according to her own recognition, "I do not know if I will do a tour again."
