Arcángel wants to meet Robi Draco and see Puerto Rico free
A couple of hours before taking a flight to Madrid for a tour of seven concerts, Puerto Rican reggaetón Arcángel, known as "La Maravilla", moves away from the set of the Dominican film "Colao" and expresses without embellishment his vision of himself Same and of a dream that hopes to see fulfilled in its moment.
In "Colao," actor Frank Perozo's first feature, Austin Santos, his first name, is enshrouded in the role of "Santos," a kitchen assistant at a restaurant in the capital that hopes to succeed in life through music.
In that role he has to share with the newcomer Antonio (Manny Perez), a coffee bachelor who hopes to find the love of his life in the great city.
"I like these kind of challenges, to be with experienced people that I can learn from, with important people who know more than I do," Archangel told Efe at the end of his participation in the film.
The artist, who prefers to be called a "charismatic person" because the artists are "fake", quickly passes on to talk about music, politics and philanthropy.
He thanks God for the talent he has given him in art and shows his astonishment when he is called arrogant, just to say what he thinks.
"In my music, in my life, that's how I handle it," says this son of Dominicans who was born in New York and educated in Puerto Rico.
In fact, at the moment of referring to the "island of charm", Archangel does not go around with his voice when he gives his opinion.
"We Puerto Ricans must wake up.We have to start with a process so that in 20 or 30 years we see the fruits. We must educate the children, the youth, put that in the mind, that is Our country, "in open stance in favor of self-determination of that Commonwealth.
Neither does he keep any of his vision of the situation in Venezuela and its president, Nicolás Maduro.
"I believe that I am going to become a Venezuelan citizen to participate in the elections of that country. Because if a person who has just reached the third grade of primary is the president there, I have more hopes, because at least he spoke two languages, Now I act, "said" La Maravilla "serenely.
Archangel also expressed the satisfaction of helping the education and food of thousands of children in several countries of Latin America through its foundation "Arca Love The Kids", which is personally handled.
"I do not do that so that they recognize me, much less, I believe that if we can have more than many people, we must help those who need us the most," he says of his programs in Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Puerto Rico and Peru.
Other joys that he has given the art has taken advantage of when he collaborates with other artists of his generation such as the Colombians J. Balvin and Maluma, the Dominican Vakeró or the Puerto Rican Farruko.
"I am always available to produce with many of my colleagues in music. I think that makes us stronger," he says.
This is just the point where Archangel reveals what would be for him his greatest longing in the art world:
"What I wish with all my heart is to be even an hour talking to Robi Draco Rosa, I think he is the best composer of contemporary music," says the singer with an admiration that strikes in devotion to this Puerto Rican artist.
The interpreter of "In intimacy", "Long time ago" or "Apparently", dismissed with a useless desire: "hopefully suspend that flight," referring to his imminent departure to the Spanish capital.
