Mr. President leads concert #46 of Ladosis
The magazine Ladosis has been responsible for almost 9 years of spreading the new and consecrated Venezuelan musical proposals. Without exclusion, the work of Juan Carlos Ballesta has had a strong impact on the dreams of talents emerging from the musical and cultural movement of Venezuela. This Sunday, July 2 will be the edition number 46 with a concert full of very good rock. Here we leave the press release.
Movistar, Polar Pilsen and the BOD Cultural Center, are pleased to present the Ladosis Concert # 46, with the participation of three magnificent proposals from the Venezuelan pop universe: AND PANZA (Caracas), PRISCA Y MARIEVA DÁVILA (Caracas) and MR. PRESIDENT (Maracaibo). For almost 9 years Ladosis (www.revistaladosis.com) has presented 144 proposals of all kinds, supporting and spreading the wide and rich musical spectrum of the country. With these they will be 147 in this fascinating tour by the Venezuelan musical geography. It will be the second concert of the cycle corresponding to the year 2017 and for this we have chosen three proposals, different from each other, that illustrate the musical variety existing in our country, and that move between the song of author, jazz, Venezuelan music and More intelligent and sensitive indie pop. With #CulturaMusical we make a country and with this concert we contribute to the noble cause of Unos Venezolanos (@UnosVenezolanos) and we remain allies to Amnesty International and their campaigns #ArteQueDesarma #SilenciadxsALaFuerza, in order to minimize violence through music. AND PANZA: Andres Pazos is one of the best and most promising exponents of the new generation of Venezuelan cantautores who move away from the usual clichés. He has not played many times live, but they have been enough to perceive his talent and his desire to create a distinctive sound that fits the sounds folk, the most exquisite pop and the hip hop brushstrokes. His Negative EP in the Third and other songs hanging on his Soundcloud, are an exquisite cover letter. Good time to enjoy it in a unique setting, with its loops, guitar and piano.
PRISCA Y MARIEVA DÁVILA The Dávila sisters are two of the most important and talented young pianists in Venezuela. His individual work includes approaches to jazz, Venezuelan music, Latin American rhythms, academics and flamenco. Their skills are not limited to the piano, but they also sing and dance. Since 2010 they have developed the project together "Un piano, dos hermanas" in which they play 4 hands music and with Prisca on piano and Marieva as bailaora, they interpret themes that fuse Venezuelan rhythms with jazz and flamenco. Both have graduated from piano in the conservatory with teacher María Auxiliadora Díaz, students of Marisela Leal in the singing and disciples of the teacher Gerry Weil Prisca (also Historiador, five albums as a soloist) and Marieva (Social Communicator, two solo albums) Fuse the charm of classical music, the harmonization and improvisation of jazz and the enchantment of flamenco with Venezuelan music. They will be accompanied by his father Eduardo Dávila (flute, saxophone), Luis Freites (bass) and Gerardo Chacón (drums), three musicians of the highest quality.
MR. PRESIDENT There is no doubt that the project of Zuliano Heberto Añez is one of the most exquisite in a category that we could call "author indie pop." In addition, his role as promoter of other talents with his label Domestic Environment have made it a must-have reference for the new independent music that emerged from Maracaibo. Over several years he has been building a unique proposal, based on his emotional voice and the innate ability to create melodic and instrumental passages impressionist and at the same time a moving austerity. Several records endorse his talent. Áñez has gone through the concerts of Ladosis, first with the quartet TLX and then in the fantastic concert 7th anniversary next to Reminder. Having it again, this time with your alter ego Mr President, is a privilege that no one should stop enjoying.
