Goodbye to the stage, says José Carreras

When he ever imagined he could not sing again, Spanish tenor José Carreras managed to overcome a leukemia in 1987, and today, thirty years later, in his 70's, he performs a farewell tour around the world.

Carreras demonstrates his mastery and elegance, and with his career, multiple recordings, tours, concerts and even participation as a member of the famous trio Los Tres Tenores, together with Luciano Pavarotti and Plácido Domingo, has earned a place of honor among the legends of classical music.

In this regard, he said recently that "we join the three best tenors in the world was something wonderful", because it was a way to popularize lyric singing and to promote the taste for opera in the last decades of the twentieth century.
