"'El dorado' for me is the encounter with inspiration ... it was difficult to reconcile my task as a mother and the hours that I had to dedicate in the recording studio," says the Colombian about this production in which she explores genres such as Bachata and reggaeton.
"I realized that the inspiration was there and that it would not go anywhere, and that was like finding that mythological treasure we call 'El dorado', which is part of pre-Columbian mythology. Fantasy and, moreover, happened in my country, "says about the recording process.

"El dorado" is the eleventh album that releases "Shakira". It is the first Spanish-language LP to debut since " Sale el sol " (2010) and the first album in general since "Shakira" (2014), interpreted in English.
According to Shakira, "El dorado" will be the work with which she returns to the stages, although for the moment she does not know how to do it, because she says that although her children are two, they seem four.
"The truth that I really want to return to the stage and one of the great motivations is to do it for my children too. Living this experience with them is one of the things that most encourage, and also meet my audience."
