Cuarteto De Nos is an alternative rock band formed in Uruguay in 1984. They are fifteen albums in his musical career, including his most recent album "Apocalipsis Zombie", which has just been released. It is an important band in the south of the continent, composing songs controversial and full of an acid humor. In 2006 it was that they had an international relevance with the album "Raro" and from there they have been spinning all over the world.
The disc is composed of ten themes that express the gentilicio, the figures and the Latin American culture. All the songs were authored by vocalist and leader of the band Roberto Musso and came under the Sony Music label and was produced by Cachorro López, who works with Los Abuelos de la Nada and Meteors.
Musso has been the focus of attention in recent weeks due to the release of the album, conferring several interviews to international media. When asked about the disc could point out that: "It's called Zombie Apocalypse , like a disco song, that speaks in the first person, from a zombie's point of view, but that is the reflection of humans now. The video is very good, with a zombie audience watching us. We recorded it in the SODRE Auditorium. The album has a lot of "fantastic realism". There is another song called "The Beast", which speaks of the beast that we have inside. There is another one that has an atmosphere of India, "Hello Karma", which tries to get everything back and destiny. "Invisible" speaks of a character who wants to become invisible but not to hide but to be sought. "Nylon look" is another with a person who apparently has plastic emotions. The hand is coming. " He also noted that it is a more melodic and rhythmic album, having less rap than the previous one.
"When I compose the songs, I usually do a little more of the songs that are going to stay. For a record of ten songs I like to make about 16. And among those, I always have some that are artistically favorites and others that I think are more catchy. And there were two issues on which there was consensus between the band and Cachorro [Gerardo López], the producer of the album: the most heterogeneous were "Gaucho Power" and "Apocalypse Zombie", which have a catchy chorus and two strong names, a mixture of two words as antagonistic. "
The band was working more than a year and a half on the songs that make up the new album. "I tried in the composition to do something different, to stand from another optic at the musical level and thematic level. I stood in a place close to fantastic realism, to call it somehow. "
