This week, the list of artists that will be part of the Corona Capital 2017 Festival will be announced in its eighth edition, which will take place from November 18 to 19 in Mexico City. The event will feature Foo Fighters and Green Day as well as PJ Harvey, The xx, Phoenix, alt-J, Grizzly Bear, The Shins, Mogwai, Japandroids, Sampha and Angel Olsen, Cage the Elephant, Cold War Kids, Metronomy, Elbow, Kehlani, Daughter, The Drums, Whitney, Wild Belle, Crystal Fighters, Grouplove, The Japanese House and Cherry Glazerr were also confirmed.
The Festival is for some years one of the most important that takes place in Latin America and takes place every year in the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez. The story of this event comes from 2010, when the Inter-American Entertainment Corporation in Curve 4 of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, decided to make an annual festival of rock and alternative music with national and international artists. However, starting in 2013, Ibero-American music was left aside, to rely exclusively on English-speaking bands.
As an important fact, the festival has won the following artists: Pixies, Interpol, Two Doors Cinema Club, The Stroke, The Killers, LCD Soundsystem, Air, Moby, The Hives, Major Lazer, New Order, Snow Patrol, The Black Keys, Dinosaur Jr., Travis, Blonde, Queen of the Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys, Jake Bugg and many more.
