The band The Eagles sued the owners of the Mexican Hotel California, as they claim to take advantage of their famous song with the same name. Rockers filed a federal lawsuit over intellectual property lawsuits Monday against owners of Hotel California, located in Todos Santos, on the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur. The hotel management, however, is located in the United States. The Eagles say that Hotel California has mistakenly led guests to believe that it is associated with the band and that it was the inspiration for their hit "Hotel California", which musicians deny. The hotel page says that the owners do not seek to associate it with the band but that visitors are delighted by the "coincidences" between the hotel and the song.
