The band Gorillaz has released today their new album "Humanz" and the world has gone mad. For months the group led by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett has been taking simple and animated promotional video. However, the English do not stop and in recent statements by Hewlett was known about the project of making an animated television on the four band members drawings (2D, Murdok, Noodle and Russel) and their alter egos series. The series will include 10 episodes.

In the interview given by Hewlett for Q Magazine said: "I will lead the first and the last, but we need to get someone to lead the other episodes ... I think if I dare to do everything myself would kill me , " he said. He also confessed that the TV series will be two - dimensional, despite his recent virtual reality video 360 Barz Saturnz. "From now they will be well. I think it's a beautiful animation style , "he added.

"Everyone CGI does now, and it 's great when you're making money, such as environments and landscapes, but not the actual characters. I'm still very inspired by the work of Chuck Jones, and I love that animation. It's art. I would keep the characters in that style for the rest of this season. So the characters in the series will be 2D, but everything else is at stake , "he said.

Although not give specific details about the new project, it did know about the ideas thought. " It could be real pictures with real people talking to the characters , " he continued Hewlett. "We appearances in the series of many artists featured on the album or whoever you are writing in the series. Or it could be a mixture of collage and photography and some CGI also. He finished.

Long ago, the band members made the attempt to project a film for DreamWorks, but the project was put on the air because "it was too dark to invest two hundred million dollars in it", which was not to his liking.

"Humanz" was attended by artists like Danny Brown, Grace Jones, De La Soul, Carly Simon and Mavis Staples.
