Genius Roger Waters announced the publication of his new album "This Is the Life We Really Want?" Will hit the global market in physical and digital on June 2 format. This would be the artist 's first album in 25 years and is composed of 12 unreleased songs that were recorded with producer Nigel Godrich (Radioheads, Beck, U2, Paul McCartney) who also contributed keyboards and guitars on the album.

In the press release, one could read the contents of the album is defined as "an unflinching look at the modern world and uncertain times." In addition, Waters said earlier it was "part of a magic carpet ride, part mocks politics, part anguish".

Waters had a large team of collaborators, among them Gus Seyffert (bass, guitar, keyboards), Jonathan Wilson (guitar, keyboards), Joey Waronker (drums), Roger Manning (keyboards), Lee Pardini (keyboards) and Lucius (voices).

During the announcement of the album, Waters said, " I will highlight that we are living a life that really do not want to live. I like to think that people still would like to live in a world where we can address the problems of climate change, where we could understand that if we empathize with others, that we would be happier. Maybe we should start looking at the rates of happiness rather than the income statement. And if we do that, then it would be possible to begin to understand that the idea of "us" and "them" is actually a mirage. "

The presentation of the disc will begin on 26 May with a US tour where you will visit Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York and other cities and end in October in Vancouver. The last studio album was published by the artist "Amused To Death" in 1992.
