His full name is Oscar Emilio Leon Simoza, but is known worldwide as Oscar D'Leon, who is celebrating half a century of music. The Venezuelan artist celebrates 45 years of its creation Dimension Latina.

The singer and musician began his career at age 28. It was in 1972 when D'Leon created on its own initiative, a Latin group with Cesar Monje, Elio Pacheco, Jose Rodriguez, Rojitas and Chuito, giving life under the name of "Dimension Latina".

The first recording of the group was shared with the Clan of Victor published in 1972. It follows one of the greatest successes of the sextet, "Thinking of You" album.

It was in 1973 añor when the band recorded their second album, called Dimension America, which won international recognition and participated in important events like the carnival of Maracaibo.

Today it is one of the most important groups of salsa in Latin America thanks to the initiative of the star, who owns an indisputable legacy in Afro-Latin music and, in particular, Venezuela.
