Pearl Jam invited all his exbateristas in April to attend the ceremony which will be included in the Walk of Fame Rock and Roll, he reported the band on social networks. The group, originally from Seattle and led by Eddie Vedder, has a total of five drummers since its inception in 1990, although in general has had a stable line. In announcing the selection of Pearl Jam, Walk of Fame Rock and Roll only it included the first drummer Dave Krusen and current Matt Cameron. But Pearl Jam announced it invited three other drummers Matt Chamberlain, Dave Abbruzzese and Jack Irons, to join the band at the ceremony to be held on April 7 in New York.
The three "are individually great musicians who gave their all in the initial recordings and live concerts," said Pearl Jam in a handwritten and published in their social networks during the weekend note. "We hope to see you and all the other musicians on the list," he added. Krusen was the drummer for Pearl Jam who participated in the group's debut "Ten" album, but left the band soon after as part of a struggle against alcoholism. Abbruzzese, who played in the following two albums "Vs" and "Vitalogy", had expressed dismay at the exclusion of the ceremony on the Walk of Fame.
"Whoever is responsible for the decision they judged my work with Pearl Jam as an effort that was not important enough to grant" recognition "knows nothing of what we accomplished," Abbruzzese wrote in Facebook last December. Cameron joined the group in 1998 after playing with Soundgarden, another great band in the grunge scene. Relations between current and former members of the groups often overshadow this annual ceremony. In 2016, the exguitarrista Deep Purple Ritchie Blackmore did not attend the ceremony in which the group appeared with his current cast.
