The single was written by Fonsi along the Panamanian singer, Erika Ender. It is the first single from the new album by the artist and is the second time working with Daddy Yankee, after "A Chance" in 2010.
"Slowly" it was produced by Andres Torres and Mauricio Rengifo; while the video was directed Carlos Perez, who chose as a location for recording landscapes of both artists native country, Puerto Rico, specifically places like La Perla and the club The Factory in San Juan.
