Musical cheese: The 20 albums I expect from 2017

Please do not fall today in debates about how bad year was 2016. Not worth analyzing it in terms of deaths or elected presidents, but personal growth or in the latter case, based on the amount of sex executed during the same.

With that clear in advance, these lines will not be a nostalgic reflection of the past, but a brief review of what lies ahead in the matter we conclude on this platform: Music.

As every beginning of the year, they are usual lists that summarize the most interesting releases coming industry. This is mine. Much better than Billboard, NME, Pitchfork or CochinoPop, mainly because it is less pretentious and sincerely admits that only based on my whims, tastes and frequent reproductions Cool Youtube ¿no?

For easy consumption, I divided into two: those who have not shared music from their upcoming albums and those that have already given one or two single. Enjoy.

Those who have not released anything ...

arcade Fire

Do you remember the hype and craziness that ensued with his latest album 'Reflektor'? World tours, amazing videos, a kind of film, industry recognition and even Grammys. The logic leads me to think that for their fifth album, these Canadians must have something very ambitious and intense preparation. Let's hope so.

Fleet Foxes

Very badly of you if you forgot and Fleet Foxes. Although only having two studio albums, the last is 2011 and the indie folk and not as innovative as at that time, keep hope. During the five years of hiatus that had the band, drummer Joshua Tillman started releasing music as a solo artist under the pseudonym of Father John Misty (who see below) and its leader Robin Pecknold went to college, where they have had a chance to think well his next move, as promised different from what we knew of the band disc. Go near lower.

Tool

Aha, I know. Tool has kikiriwiki playing with us for the last 10 years. In fact, in 2016 an exact fulfilled decade since the US-led Maynard James Keenan band released their latest album '10, 000 Days'. For this reason, last year had some live performances, released a couple of bleary press and even confirmed that they would be playing some festivals during this 2017. Then either Tool takes disk, or next January will be back on the list, as it has been year after year after year after year.

Queens of the Stone Age

After the wonderful '... Like Clockwork' of 2013, the project led by Don Josh Homme has been resting. Each of its members has been playing or participating in many projects, highlighting undoubtedly the ' Post Pop Depression' Iggy Pop last year made together with Homme. According to interviews and rumors of blogs, 2017 could be the return of the band.

Gorillaz

Damon Albarn and his crew of animated friends always tend to take their time between albums. However, these seven years that have passed since 'Plastic Beach' and its digital successor 'The Fall' in 2010, has been their longer absence. To increase the hype for waiting, an alleged list of special collaborators of the new album leaked, including names like Snoop Dogg, De La Soul, Massive Attack and Vic Mensa.

Liam Gallagher

Finally the youngest of the Gallagher returns to the ring. After much lost after the separation time Beady Eye, Liam Noel follow in the footsteps of pursuing a solo career. His brother and two excellent productions under his arm as a soloist, can sleep peacefully at night. We'll see if Liam finally nailed the thorn that has since died Oasis is removed.

Phoenix

From small clubs to giant stadiums around the world could evolve boys Phoenix in recent years, mainly grace their last two albums 'Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix' 2009 and 'Bankrupt!' 2013. Although there is no clear news of when or how would a new album of French, recently climbed a mysterious image, which seems the cover of an album, all your social networks. Hopefully, hopefully.

La Vida Bohème

Much expectation revolves around the end of the trilogy of these winners Grammy Caracas. After 'Our' and 'Will', this year will release 'The Fight', recorded in Puerto Rico and produced by Eduardo "Visitante" Cabra of Calle 13. It is his first album conceptualized and made after his departure from Venezuela to Mexico, so it will be interesting to hear what brought back after such a conceptual album inspired in Caracas as it was 'will'.

LCD Soundsystem

James Murphy and his combo had much of 2016 to meet, playing at festivals around the world and back to feeling like a band. All indications are that this year will be when you finally edit the successor to his wonderful 'This Is Happening' 2010. The fact that they have canceled dates in Asia to work in study suggests that it will.

Mac DeMarco

Mac finished his new album and that's all we know. He posted on his Instagram account while celebrating with champagne. Already. The wonderful 'Salad Days' of 2014, the digital 'Another One' and the instrumental 'Some Other Ones', both from 2015, are their latest releases to date and go it takes its psychedelic indie pop.

Now, those already released new music ...

The xx

After the break they took Jamie xx to release his fantastic solo album 'In Colour', the band confirmed his return to the stage. And they played on Saturday Night Live and presented new music, confirming that 'I See You' is the title of his third album, successor of 'Coexist' 2012.

Beck

If someone we can consider innovative and even a kind of thermometer to determine where the music goes, it is Mr. Beck. After extolled 'morning phase', last year released "Wow" as the first single from what could be his album number 13.

Portugal. The Man

Undoubtedly one of the pitches that I look more forward. Although they have already over seven albums, the band of Wasilla, Alaska has never taken off to success. However, his latest album 'Evil Friends' itself placed them in a more privileged in terms of position and managed critics that may arise in much of the world. 'Gloomin + Doomin' is the title of the plate will release this year, produced by Mike D of the Beastie Boys.

Nick Murphy

The Australian world fell in love with this previously known as Chet Faker, all thanks to electronics, soft and very sexy debut album 'Built On Glass' in 2014. After that release was dedicated to touch the world and edited several EPs, some in collaboration of people like Flume and Marcus Marr. However, late last year confirmed that working on a new album, now under his real name: Nick Murphy.

Father John Misty

Joshua Michael Tillman is a pretty eccentric guy. With this character he has released only two studio albums, although his career is much longer and intense. We do not know how much of Father John Misty is real and how much is a joke, not really know when a project is taken seriously. And all that we love.

Viniloversus

What will be the fourth album Viniloversus draws attention to several factors. First, it's your turn after nearly 4 years of absence. Second, it is the first album recorded entirely in English. Third, is the first to perform from his new headquarters work in Miami, Florida and fourth, is the first with a new guitarist in their lineup, going on to become a quintet. So far, two juicy advances and let predict that comes something interesting.

Akapellah

Maracay, Akapellah has become one of the most successful and admired the continent rappers. This year plans to launch 'As never', closing his trilogy that began with their previous albums 'as before' and 'As usual'. Romps with Trap and maturity is aged over time are factors that we know are included.

Los Amigos Invisibles

Although I did not like the first advance, Los Amigos Invisibles are Los Amigos Invisibles. This year comes to market its ninth studio album, called 'The Paradise' the first edit after the departure of the band guitarist and keyboardist Armandito Cheo, both founders of the former sextet. As I understand it, the drive to have a collaboration with Oscar D'Leon, so it is too early to judge.

Zack de la Rocha

While the rest of the Rage Against The Machine are busy playing the same themes as ever now with Chuck D of Public Enemy and B-Real of Cypress Hill in baptisms and birthday, Zack chose to make new music solo. After his collaborations with Run the Jewels, everything seems to indicate that this year will his first solo album.

At the Drive-In

These post hardcore legends met in 2012, but have not been able to realize anything since, at least in terms of new music is concerned. Restless Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala have been in multiple projects and fights, but in 2016 finally released a new song as At the Drive-In. Eye, we still expect the return of The Mars Volta.

BONUS: Eleuce

No doubt the future of urban music in Venezuela. With the rise of Trap in Latin America, Venezuela could not stay behind and although great exponents as Akapellah or Neutral Shorty have worked with gender, hears nothing, feels and looks like Eleuce. They are a crew of caraqueños apparent middle-class boys who do not pass the 21 years, making rogue Trap talking about selling drugs, have lots of sex and consuming Preveral with frescolita. All wrapped in a kind of millennial aura, where the culture of the Internet and its tools take center stage. Episteme, Lecon, Trainer and Big Soto form the crew, although the last two are the most active combo. His video "Chamito crazy" has started to become viral and Youtube channel is full of interesting material. Worth the listen before the burst.

Important note: If your name is Daniela, the above video is for you.
