Cuban rumba and Dominican merengue are World Heritage Sites

Two Latin American musical genres were proclaimed by UNESCO as Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Cuban rumba and Dominican merengue were raised with this, with an announcement Wednesday during the days of annual meetings of the committee.
