The Last Shadow Puppets want to lay off the year with a new album. Integrated by Alex Turner and Miles Kane band he did not want to wait eight years to get new material and happened between his first "The Age of the Understatement" (2008) and his second album "Everything You've Come to Expect" (2016 ). Therefore, they announced that for Christmas release the EP titled "The Dream Synopsis".
The album will feature 6 songs including a version of the title track to the material and "Aviation" both songs on their second album as well as some cover songs that have touched during his long promotional tour for his second album.
The idea of launching the new album is a product of new material that has left its successful tour of the many concerts they have done, having to play many versions of songs. Although, it is also assumed that the band will take a long time apart while Alex is devoted himself to his band Arctic Monkeys.
"The Dream Synopsis" will be available from December 2 through Domino Records, with covers of songs by The Fall, Jacques Dutronc and Glaxo Babies.
As promotion thereof, the news was made known through an official video for the song "Is This What You Wanted" by Leonard Cohen. A version that lasts almost seven minutes, but with his particular sound, video ceding the role of Alex Turner dancing and moving like Elvis Presley.
