After a decade of silence, the British quartet announced through a statement posted on its website that their new studio album will be called Blue & Lonesome and will be released on December 2.

On this new album, The Rolling Stones confirmed that was recorded in just three days and will feature 12 songs in total; two of them, with the collaboration of Eric Clapton, musician Keith Richards himself described as his "old friend".

Produced by Don Was and The Glimmer Twins, Blue & Lonesome include the 1996 version "Commit Crime" Howlin 'Wolf, "Little Rain" Jimmy Reed 1957 and "Hoo Doo Blues" recorded in 1958 by Lightnin' Slim.

"This album returns the band to his roots and his passion for the blues, which have always been at the heart and soul of The Rolling Stones , " reads the statement from the band integranda by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood.
