Gustavo Cerati's mother reminds the Argentine rocker as a "passionate" and "well trained" musician the second anniversary of the death of the former leader of the band Soda Stereo. "For me it's another day because Gustavo is here, in this house, always present, so it's just another anniversary," said Lilian Clark, mother of musician, told Radio 10, Buenos Aires. Clark remembered his son as a child growing up beside him and one day he said he was going to be a musician, what he did "shake" his mother because he imagined playing guitar in the subway. "Gustavo fulfilled his dream. It was supported by all of us. Gustavo decided to be what it was," he said.
The Artist's Mother Cerati highlighted the imprint left in Latin America and said he did not believe there had been another musician who achieved "as much projection" in the region. "Struck strong throughout Latin America. It was very simple, very spacious, very open-minded, was very well trained, he liked to read a lot," said the woman, who defined his son as "a passionate about what he did." Gustavo Cerati died on September 4, 2014 in Buenos Aires, at 55 years old. The former singer of Soda Stereo died of a cardiac arrest after spending four years in a coma due to a stroke (CVA) suffered after a concert in Venezuela in 2010.
During those four years, Clark every day accompanied his son. "He was young, unfortunately. Several years I was taking care of him, but there was nothing to do. He was all the time grabbing my hand and same with her two children. So I bet it would work out, but it was useless," he said Clark.
