The Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City was the venue chosen by the Mexican authorities to make public farewell to singer and songwriter Juan Gabriel. The event will be held a week after the death of this renowned artist, who died of a heart attack last Aug. 28 at his home in Santa Monica, United States, half of its North American concert tour.

According to Mexican media, this musician's ashes will be placed in the main hall of the enclosure, so that their followers can come and bid him farewell. It is expected that the Palace of Fine Arts come thousands of followers and fans of Juan Gabriel, and are chanted his most famous subjects.
