Recently the group, Temple of The Dog, formed by the frontman of Soundgarden, Chris Cornell, and members of Pearl Jam, Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament, Mike McCready and Matt Cameron recently announced a small tour to celebrate 25 years since the launch of her self - titled debut album.
In the days before the start of this tour the band members Chris Cornell and Mike McCready gave an interview to Rolling Stone to discuss some details of it.
Within which they discussed the set list of songs to play where you may not only be restricted to the 10 subjects Temple of The Dog even play songs of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam although as says Chris Cornell: "That does not feel right in my gut ".
For its part McCready said: "I would love this to be its own thing. We could maybe do some songs of Mother Love Bone and some good versions. "
Mother Love Bone was a previous band Pearl Jam that were part Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard that had great impact in the move rock in the city of Seattle which Cornell said to have no problem versioning: "I think it would a lot of sense , "he said about it .
They did not rule out the possibility of a second tour but as McCready explains, "I hope that if this goes well there will be many more concerts in the future. That's why we did not want to do such an extensive tour. We just want to try the big picture. "
As a possible second album Chris Cornell commented: " We should feel really good about the songs. It's something scary. I'm not saying they have to relive the first album but I would not take it so far away. It was the same issue with Soundgarden reform. I'm super excited about writing new songs as long as we do not take value to where we came from before, and recently did that. I think the same will apply to Temple ".
