Billy Corgan Could Reunite The Original Smashing Pumpkins Lineup

In recent months apparently Billy Corgan has begun to make peace with the founding members of The Smashing Pumpkins specifically with James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin (who actually is part of the current alignment of the group. It is also known that in recent statements bassist D'arcy Wretzky has said it might consider returning to play with the group.

Now in his videoblog on Facebook Corgan has given some statements that have raised expectations about this meeting. "There are great things happening. We are making plans, I can not give anything about it, but it will be interesting "-

In addition to statements of Corgan some pages have received information from sources that are part of the industry they have said that plans vocalist of The Smashing Pumpkins plane reunite the original lineup for summer festivals block for next year. If so this would be the first time the formation of the band would play live 16 years.

He further reported that it is currently working on more music as a soloist and form a new group with the current Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder:

"So we will be forming a new band and start working next week in new music for the band week." He says that the music of this band will be far from what they do with Pumpkins.
