The eastern group, fried tomatoes is serving 20 years of artistic career, and to celebrate in style just released their fifth album album "Tomates Fritos." The album recalls the good pop-rock of the 80s and 90s with the use of synthesizer and electronic sounds, but with the characteristic sound of these musicians.

"The group has a DNA that characterizes it , whenever we do something is going to have the seal of Tomates Fritos. We wanted to change a bit, bought some old technology to sound the 80s was the idea that we had from the beginning , "says Boston Rex in an interview with the newspaper El Nacional.

The album production was led by Max Martinez. Initially, the musical composition was guided by the piano replacing the guitar. At the time of recording, the traditional bass was replaced by the synthesizer. Boston Rex, played the melodies with his right hand and left, the bass. Kike Franco ran guitars entire disk and two of the five topics that have low power; Tony Maestracci and Max Martinez, batteries.

"Over time we learned many things. Before we were a shaman and now we are not so chamos, one changes, has other priorities, other ways of seeing life and see music. The band also has a natural evolution through the years and I think all these condiments make the subject have something really special and we are very proud of what happened , "said Franco kike.

The artists have noted that there were three seasons and a half months recording for two years and was not recorded as they used to do, this time, it was a process of collective input was happening at the same time to try to burn. "Everything that we rehearsed, we were recording ". It was a complex and painstaking process, into a new and very different from his other discs sound, but with the quality, experience and humility of a band that is 20 years old.

The new album follows in the footsteps of Odyssey (1999), Molly (2006), Bullet Man (2010) and Hotel Miramar (2012) and submit live next August 5th in the BOD Cultural Center in Caracas.
