The news is just out the book "Nodding Gerry Weil" by journalist Cristina Raffalli, and will be christened on July 31 in Caracas.

Gerry came from Austria to Venezuela, and took root in that country, not only family but music. His music is a huge gesture of gratitude to the country that welcomed him with art and farming: why jazz has its own flavor swing that rate, but also the flavors of Venezuelan folk music.

In this book musician's life is told, which is a real contribution to the knowledge of one of the most important musicians, composers, pianists and music teachers of the twentieth century in Venezuela and Latin America.

By Weil, this is what one would normally call "a character", full of good humor, charm, charisma, enormous talent, desire to live; qualities that transmits not only through music but also through a legendary martial art that cultivates and still growing, karate.

Thus, both arts, hand in hand, walking in the life of this musician, with its sounds and rhythms, and now offered in full through the publication of the Foundation for Urban Culture and Guataca.
