The sports world was in mourning after the death of one of the greatest icons of humanity, the great boxer Muhammad Ali died at age 74 of natural causes. Bob Dylan was one of many celebrities who paid tribute to "The Greatest".
The singer, who was in his teens amateur boxer, published on its website heartfelt words:
"If the measure of greatness is to gladden the heart of every human being on the face of the earth, then he really was the greatest. In every way he was the bravest, the most friendly and the most excellent of men. "
Notably, in 1964, Dylan released the theme I Shall Be Free No. 10 inspired by Ali when he was still called Cassius Clay. Some 10 years later, the "people 's champion" took the stage at a concert performer after the publication of the subject Hurricane, where he protested against the conviction for triple murder of fellow boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter who was tried in a trial full of irregularities and racial prejudice.
