The VI National Angostura Guitar Competition held this year in honor of the Uruguayan master Abel Carlevaro, under the centennial of his birth.
From 29 to July 31, the event will be held, also in the context of the XVIII Guitar Festival Angostura in Ciudad Bolivar (Venezuela), to promote and spread the study of the guitar at home.
For this occasion, the contest will take place on three levels, and will have two public evidence, ie, the tie and end.
The levels are: Professional (for performers at any level and age), Youth (performers from 13 to 18 years old) and Junior (for performers to 12 years old).
The tribute to Carlevaro implies that the contestants will have to choose a work by this author. Also, as always, works of Antonio Lauro will be interpreted.
