While big music stars are alive, we must make the most of , so Third Man Books, the publishing division of Third Man Records (the label of Jack White) publish a biography that portrays the trajectory of The Stooges. The book is titled TOTAL CHAOS: The Story Of The Stooges As Told and it will have untold stories of the band by the own Iggy Pop and unpublished photos.
The book was written by musical historians Jeff Gold (the author of 101 Essential Rock Records) and Johan Kugelberg. Both spent several days interviewing Iggy Pop at his home in Miami, managing to collect stories, anecdotes and experiences of the early years with The Stooges. The work contains more than 300 pages of stories of the band.
Part of the description used by the authors for the book was "The alternation between tragedy and triumph of a group that was born of youth, fell into drugs, alcohol and the realities of the music business, collapse and renovated 30 years later. "
Gold said his experience in performing the biography: "It was a rare privilege to sit with Iggy as he told the story of The Stooges It's an amazing storyteller with a fantastic memory and a great sense of humor and not censured The Stooges.. were pioneers in sound, look and live. Throughout, they invented the genre of punk rock and influenced a number of people following them . There was unprecedented in rock music for what they did. "
The book focuses on aesthetics in the pool, stunning and crazy live performances, problems with alcohol and drugs and bad experiences with the recording industry. In addition to the testimony of Iggy, the book will have the collaboration of people like Joan Jett, Johnny Marr, Ben Blacwell, Jon Savage and the same Jack White.

For those who do not know The Stooges, the band formed in 1967 in Detroit, United States and was one of the pioneers of rock and punk rock garage. The members were founders of the band as a singer Iggy Pop, Scott Asheton Ron and brothers, the first and second guitar on drums, and his friend Dave Alexander on bass.
