Enrique Iglesias and Romeo Santos lead Latin Billboard nominations

Twelve and eleven nominations in the major categories of the Latin Billboard Awards are disputed, respectively, by artists Romeo Santos and Enrique Iglesias. The 2016 edition of the awards night will be held Thursday in Miami and wins again as a space that seems willing to strengthen the hegemony of urban music in Latin America.

With chances of the Spanish and the New Yorker of Puerto Rican origin win in areas such as Best Artist, Best Song and Best Video debate on the quality of music awards and levels of demand arises in the selection of nominees against the popularity who hold elected. The Billboads recognize artists genres as diverse as tropical music, pop, urban and regional Mexican genre.

American Nicky Jam is also nominated along with churches in the subject Forgiveness. The Colombian J Balviln has eight nominations, while Mana, Juan Gabriel and Mexican Rancho Los Plebes were proposed in seven categories each for this event.

The Billboard Hall of Fame Award will be given to Alejandro Fernandez in recognition of his career and, say the organizers in a statement for his "influence on the different musical genres and languages."

The gala, in which 67 different categories are awarded, will be led by Venezuelan actress Gaby Espino and Mexican singer Pedro Fernandez.
