Rediscover: Led Zeppelin II

In my 15 years of listening to music quasi - religious way from that When the Levee Breaks reproduced under the needle of the record player with surround reverb that characterizes battery sensation caused in me this sound was the guide in what would be the discovery new music.

And more with some technical knowledge I understood that what causes this feeling that runs from the ear to the back of the neck is maintaining the natural sound. Therefore here I want to focus on a disk that is even more iconic than the great Led Zeppelin IV for audiophiles to be a miracle of production: Led Zeppelin II.

Led Zeppelin II is an album that goes from the visceral and sexy Whole Lotta Love to the comfort of a rock / pop piece with environmental touch keys maestro John Paul Jones as Thank You are an example of the different places where you can take the album. Compound in the seizure of a tour in precarious studies with small amplifiers but with a Robert Plant more coupled to the band and more confident in his voice just as we have a Jimmy Page in charge of production accompanied by the great Eddie Kramer (Hendrix , the Kinks, Clapton, Santana, Bowie) achieve a sound that represents the hectic process of composition whose best example is the piece the Lemon Song which explodes with a blow of gong that catches the ear until it slowly goes out accompanied by riff main guitar with a libidinous lyrics wrapped between instrumental jammings with a second verse that gives us the feeling of a bluesy vocal improvisation that starts with a cry torn Plant.

One of the songs that offers a glimpse of what will be a characteristic sound of some compositions is the epic Zeppelin Ramble On inspired by the writings of JRR Tolkien which also begin to perceive the influence of folk music genius Page.

I will not belabor to write about each element of this work but give them a taste of what they can find to be tempted to rediscover Led Zeppelin II.
