ASCAP Awards for Natalia Lafourcade and Luis Enrique

ASCAP is the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, announced details of the 24th edition of the awards, these will be presented on May 11 in Miami. Lafourcade will be honored with the Golden Note Award and Luis Enrique with the award Voice Of Music

The Golden Note Award is given to songwriters, composers and artists who have made great achievements in their careers. The Voice Of Music Prize is awarded to composers and artists who have given their voice to the spirit of a generation.

Luis Enrique has made activism by immigrants and has collaborated with renowned producer Sergio George with composers Jorge Luis Piloto, Jorge Villamizar, Monica Velez and Alex Cuba. The Prince of Salsa, has also received several awards, including three Latin Grammy, Billboard four awards and a Grammy.

'' To Root '' is the new album Lafourcade who received five Latin Grammy and a Grammy. Natalia also focuses its efforts on humanitarian projects such as Safe Passage Foundation in Guatemala and spokeswoman for Save the Children.

Enrique Santos, host of Univision radio, will host the awards gala will also include musical numbers.

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers is an organization of professionals whose mission is to license the music of its members and obtain fair compensation for the public performance of their works and the distribution of royalties collected based on those performances.
