The magical sound of electric guitars with voices singing along. The peal of percussion and the euphoria of thousands of people crowd doing live rock and hippie movement as the most fervent spirit of the time, is certainly one, one of the best moments that has lived rock history with the festival Woodstock held in New York on 16, 17 and 18 August 1969, the most significant social movements of the '60s.

About the great event, the United States may have a new appointment in 2019 by commemorating 50 years of the festival. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, producer Michael Lang said:

"Woodstock is the first and most famous brand of festivals" and added "with the predominance of festivals and all the excitement them, maybe it's time to bring it back."

Lang argued that everything is in a planning stage, so there is still no name at stake, no headquarters, nor set a date. So have to continue waiting.

Woodstock 1969 brought together artists like Joe Cocker, Carlos Santana, Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin and The Who, being a counterculture event for the time when peace and love were against wars and invasions of the imperial powers.

In history there have been three Woodstock festivals and all produced Lang. In 1994 there was an edition which featured Nine Inch Nails, Metallica, Blind Melon, Green Day, Bob Dylan, and many more. While the last festival was in 1999, taking starring James Brown, Lit, Jamiroquai, Bush, Rage Against the Machine and the long list goes on.

Planning is vital for the next event, because it was plagued by heavy rain that complicated stay public because the mud that was created and in 1999 there was a wave of looting, arson and many wounded in 1994.

Keep in mind that in August 2016 the 45th anniversary of the festival is held, so many expected a special event to commemorate the date.
