Bruce Springsteen an autobiography published in September that will show how his personal problems inspired his music, including the hit 1975 song Born to run.
Springsteen, 66, has been working on the autobiography, Born to run for seven years, Simon & Schuster publisher said Thursday. It will be released worldwide on September 27. "Write about one is always weird," Springsteen writes in the book, according to Thursday's announcement. "But a project like this, the writer has done a promise, show the reader your mind. In these pages I have tried to do that," he added.

Springsteen, born in New Jersey, and his E Street Band have been one of the icons of rock over the past 40 years, with successes com or Born in the USA and Glory days that capture the dreams and disappointments of American workers.
