A street in Canberra, the Australian capital, bear the name of Bon Scott, lead singer of the rock band AC / DC who died in London 1980, local authorities reported today. "The new residents of the neighborhood Moncrieff live in a curved street named after singer of AC / DC Bon Scott, who tragically died at the age of 33 years," said Mick Gentleman, Minister of Planning Australian Capital Territory said in a statement.
In addition to Scott, born in Scotland in 1946, other streets Moncrieff, named in honor of the soprano Gladys Moncrieff and pays tribute to the music, bear the names of Aboriginal artists Jimmy Little, Harold Blair, Ruby Hunter and interpreter didjeridu, an instrument used by indigenous Australians, Alan Dargin.
