The Hennepin County Medical Examiner Medical Examiner Minneapolis revealed that the cause of death of former lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots, was the result of an overdose. Cardiac arrest that killed him were the result of a mixture of cocaine, ecstasy and alcohol.
The rockstar of 48 years old, suffered from addiction to cocaine and heroin for several years of his life, however, a few years ago, he remained in treatment and lasted a time away from drugs. By the time of his death, it was learned that the singer suffered from heart disease, with a history of asthma and dependence on various drugs.
The incident occurred on December 3 when the singer was on tour with his new group The Wildabouts, when he died in his sleep on the bus in the town of Bloomington, Minnesota. During the tragedy, the police authorities did not issue any cause of death, they noted that only a small amount of cocaine was found on the bus.
A few weeks ago, his former wife, Mary Forsberg Weiland, issued an open letter to the fans where he asked that his death was not glorified.
