At a gala held on Barclaycard Center of Madrid they were handed the awards to the music of the 40 Principales, a contest in which Iberian and international artists competed to be crowned the best rated stars of the year.
During Friday night, the stage was filled by several major singers of today, especially in speaking, in what was a journey that began with the dance music of Gente de Zona and its theme The Gozadera, which was the song of the summer in Spain, to the romantic style of Pablo Alboran. The latter was precisely awarded the prize for Best Song, for its simple steps Zero, and Artist of the Year, a recognition that, for many, was considered checking what has been the rise of this blond artist which some media have labeled the successor to Alejandro Sanz.
Sanz, who launched this year to market its latest album, was also recognized in the awards, addressed to his album Sirop, named the best of the year in Spain. On international recognition, Ellie Goulding British became another winner with awards for Best New Artist and Best Song for Love Me Like You do.
Other artists who made the audience move in this musical celebration were the teen idol Abraham Mateo; urban singers J. Balvin, Macaco and Juan Magan; and Malu, Juanes and Pablo Lopez.
