After a successful and fruitful musical career that celebrates 20 years of artistic career, the British band Placebo and MTV launched next November 27th his album "Placebo MTV Unplugged".
The alternative rock band formed in 1994 in London, England. It consists of Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal, and Matt Lunn. The band achieved considerable success since their debut album in 1996, selling over a million copies of their albums in the UK and over eight million worldwide.
The new album was recorded on August 19 at The London Studios in England, with a few lucky chosen randomly by the television network among the more than 10,000 applications received fans. The group led by Brian Molko offered a long list of songs from his discography, in acoustic format and will serve to introduce Matt Lunn, who came to occupy the position of drummer in February 2015. The project involved a dozen guest musicians.
" We wanted to do something extraordinary, something that challenged us. The process has been interesting because we were creating something while you were playing live. That was something we had never done before. The simultaneity of the performance and the creative process was something completely new for us , "said singer Brian Molko in the official press release.
The material will be released in digital format, CD, DVD, Blue Ray and Vinyl, all standard and deluxe editions from November 27. And you can already pre-order digital music stores like Itunes or the same official website of Placebo. On several websites you can enjoy a preview clip of the song "The Bitter End" as the first step of the subject comes from the album "Sleeping with Ghosts" 2003.
For this edition, the songs told with new arrangements that enriched the sound of the band, which allowed them to add a new division of sound and visual experience.
The list of songs selected for this occasion are not only successes, there are also songs like "Bosco" which has never before been played live and a version of "Where Is My Mind" from the Pixies.
