Maxine Linehan Reveals Moonlight in Vermont

Maxine Linehan’s silky smooth vocals in “Moonlight in Vermont” capture the perfect winter scene. Off of her first holiday album, this cover of the famous jazz tune starts with a guitar riff with a reverb effect, which beautifully contrasts with the rest of the song’s vibe.

Maxine’s controlled mezzo-soprano voice never disappoints throughout the entirety of the song. Her gorgeous vibrato is reminiscent of Sarah Vaughn’s or Ella Fitzgerald’s, two icons. Her romanticism shines through her voice as well -- making the song even more exciting to listen to. Linehan is also an actress, so it’s important that she can connect to the lyrics she is singing. “For me, it’s all about a deep willingness within me to connect to what I sing about on a really personal level,” she says.

Maxine is also the co-founder of The Studio Strawberry Fields Lane in southern Vermont, where she and her husband record and produce their own music. She is truly a wonder to behold! With an entire studio at her fingertips, there must be constant music in the making. We can only hope for more from Linehan very soon!
