Happy winter holidays and New Year to all of you Kurrent Music blog readers! I hope you are having a great festive time. In addition I would like to add sparkles on it! Ta-daaaam, here is the new album from “Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra” Live with Wynton Marsalis called “Big Band Holidays” published for free! This is definitely an album that will make your holidays merrier.

Firstly I will give you introduction for this Big band. The “Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra” (or short said JLCO) is an American professional big band that is produced by Jazz at Lincoln Center which is housed in its own facility in Manhattan, New York. This Big band is led by Wynton Marsalis and it consists 15 of the finest soloists, arrangers and ensemble players, in jazz music today.

Their latest album is this Christmas Album which is released on October 30, 2015 by Blue Engine Records. The album contains 11 beautiful holiday classics (Jingle Bells, Merry Christmas Baby, I’ll be home for Christmas, Good Morning Blues, White Christmas and etc.) performed live with special guest vocalists including Gregory Porter, Rene Marie and Cecile McLorin Salvant. Each one of them a true, inspiring singer and artist.

It is very interesting that Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra every December for more than 10 Years performs a show where they present traditional Christmas songs, giving to the people more of the Christmas Magic. This actually became a tradition. It is enjoyment for the jazz audience and jazz lovers.

I wish you to enjoy in the rest of the holidays, and I hope that this concert will give you more of that Christmas spirit. I wanted to share some good music and to spread my positive energy and positive vibes around the world.

My recommendation while listening to this music is a good book and a glass of red wine, oh and near a fireplace if it’s possible!
